Against Price Rise and Privatisation

At 5 p.m. on 25.11.2009 (Wednesday)

From Secretariat Exit Gate to C.E’s Office (APWD)

Demands:

a) To reduce the price of all essential commodities.

b) To rescind the orders on outsourcing of Governmental functions and closure of offices.

c) To fill up all vacancies of Group D posts by regular recruitment and stop contracting out the Group D functions and employing daily rated/casual workers to carry out the Group D functions.

d) Reverse the decision to impose the New Contributory Pension Scheme.

e) To lift ban on creation of posts and recruitment

f) Remove the arbitrary ceiling on compassionate appointments.

g) Implement the Board of Arbitration awards.

h) Grant Pension and status of civil servant to Grameen Dak Sevaks.

Local Demands:

i) Restore Andaman Special Allowance and Compensatory Allowance on percentage basis

ii) Settle all the cases related to Sixth Central Pay Commission

iii Restructure Amalgamated Clerical Cadre and Forest Clerical Cadre

iv) Grant upgraded Grade Pay to left-out categories of teachers, grant ISDA during summer vacation

v) Restore air travel by private airlines for LTC/AFSP

vi) Regular supply of LPG

vii) To fill up all vacant posts
