Annual General Body meeting of Rangat Branch



The Annual General Body meeting of the Rangat Branch of the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association was held on 02.04.2017 at Panchayat Samiti Hall, Rangat. The meeting was presided by Shri. V.Adiakkan,Vice-President of the Branch. Addressing the General Body as Chief Guest Shri Lochan Singh, Vice Principal, GSSS Sabari, recalled the contributions by NGOs’ Association for the welfare of Govt. employees as well as general public.  Shri Harish Chandra Rai, Vice Principal, GSSS Bakultala, who was the Guest of Honour in the meeting, exhorted employees to work sincerely to provide efficient service to general public.  Earlier, inaugurating the General Body, Shri T.S. Sreekumar, General Secretary of the Association explained in detail about the ongoing struggles all over the country for the settlement of various demands. Shri Suresh Kumar, Secretary of the branch presented the working report and Shri Natarajan, presented the finance report. Shri S.N. Mishra, Vice President, Shri D.N. Banerjee, Vice President and Shri R. Surendran Pillai, Assistant General Secretary also spoke. The meeting adopted several resolutions which include, (i) sufficient supply of treated water (ii) Godown facility and Regular supply of LPG (iii) immediate renovation of dilapidated residential quarters (iv) immediate construction of a working women’s hostel (vi) Night service of STS bus (vii) improvement of BSNL service (viii)  Posting of sufficient  Doctors, providing Ultra Sonography and CT Scan facility at CHC, Rangat. The meeting re-elected Shri.V.Adaikkan as Vice President. Shri. Natarajan, elected as Secretary and Shri. Ali Akbar as Treasurer. A large number of employees of Rangat area attended the meeting.

Annual General Body meeting of Mayabunder branch



The Annual General Body meeting of the Maybunder Branch of the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association was held on 01.04.2017 at Labour Welfare Center, Maybunder. The meeting was presided by Shri.P.Jay Murthy, out-going Vice-President of the Branch. Inaugurating the Annual General Body, Shri S.N.Mishra, Vice President recalled historical struggles made by the Association for the fulfilment of various demands of Government employees and workers of this remote territory of the nation. Addressing the General Body, Shri.T.S.Sreekumar, General Secretary of the Association explained in detail the ongoing struggles all over the country for the settlement of 21-Point Charter of Demands placed before the Govt. of India by the Confederation of Central Govt. Employees & Workers, New Delhi. Earlier, the working report of the Branch was presented by Shri.Jagat Ram Barraik, Secretary and Finance Report by Shri M.C.Prasanna Kumar. The meeting adopted several resolutions in the meeting which include various issues like (i) sufficient supply of treated water (ii) Regular supply of LPC (iii) immediate renovation of dilapidated residential quarters (iv) timely and transparent allotment of government quarters (v) posting/regular visit by Specialized doctors at Dr.Rajendra Prasad District Hospital, Mayabunder. The meeting elected Shri.M.C.Prasanna Kumar as Vice President. Shri.Jagat Ram Barraik re-elected as Secretary. Shri.Y.Sitaramaiah has been elected as Treasurer.

Annual General Body meeting of Billyground Branch



The Annual General Body meeting of the Billyground Branch of the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association was held on 31.03.2017 at Billyground. Inaugurating the meeting Shri S.N.Mishra, Vice President of the Association called upon the employees to be united in the struggle for the settlement of local issues and other issues related to Central Government employees. Shri T.S.Sreekumar, General Secretary of the Association explained in detail the ongoing struggles all over the country for the settlement of 21-Point Charter of Demands placed before the Govt. of India by the Confederation of Central Govt. Employees & Workers, New Delhi. Shri D.N.Banerjee, Vice President, Shri R.Surendran Pillai, Asst. Gen. Secretary of the Association and S.R.Mirdha, Organising Secretary of the Branch also spoke on the occasion. Earlier, Shri Subhankar Bawali, Secretary of the Branch presented the working report and Shri Bijoy Mandal, Treasurer presented the audited accounts in the meeting. The meeting adopted several resolutions in the meeting which include various issues like (i) Shortage of teachers & MTS staff in schools (ii)Delay in confirmation, MACP & promotion to teachers and other govt. employees (iii) Better facilities at PHC Billyground (iv) Regular supply of LPG in Billyground area (v) Establishment of Primary School in Shantipur etc. The meeting re-elected Shri Satyaban Gain and Shri Subhankar Bawali as Vice President & Secretary of the branch respectively.
