Request for Implementation of Modified ACP Scheme

Sir,

The Department of Personnel & Training, Government of India has issued a Modified Assured Career Progression Scheme for the central government employees vide No. 35034/3/2008 –Estt (D) dated the 19th May, 2009. This order has already been circulated to all the Heads of Departments/ Offices under the A & N Administration. However, it has been noticed that no step has been taken by the Heads of Departments/ Offices to implement the scheme for their employees.

The MACP is operational with effect from 1st September, 2008 and all the pending cases upto August, 2008 have to be settled on the basis of the earlier ACP Scheme (of August, 1999). A large number of employees in various departments and also under the Amalgamated Clerical Cadre are yet to be granted financial upgradation under the former ACP Scheme.

I would, therefore, request you kindly to issue necessary instructions to all the Heads of Departments/Offices under the Administration to implement the Modified ACP Scheme and also to grant financial upgradation under the earlier ACP Scheme to all the eligible employees working under them.
