A
meeting of the employees belonging to the Amalgamated Information Technology
Cadre of Andaman and Nicobar Administration was held at Port Blair
recently. Various issues and demands of
the employees of the IT Cadre were discussed in the meeting. Thereafter, it was decided to form a
Sub-Committee of the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association in order to
pursue the demands of the IT cadre employees in an effective manner.
Addressing the IT Cadre employees,
Shri D. Ayyappan, General Secretary of the Association said that there is wide
scope for expanding the Information Technology in the governmental activities
under the Administration. He stressed the need to re-organise the activities of
the Information & Technology Department to face the new challenges in the
governance.
Shri VK Mishra, Shri Ikhlaq Ali and
Shri M. Sathish were elected as Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer of the
newly formed IT Cadre Sub-Committee of the Association.
Shri R. Rajendran, Organising
Secretary of the Association also addressed the meeting.
