NGOs' Demand Restructuring of Clerical Cadre

Press Statement

Shri D. Ayyappan, General Secretary, Non-Gazetted Government Officers’ Association along with Shri Anand Raj, Secretary, Secretariat Sub-Committee of the Association met the Secretary (Perl), A & N Administration today (09.09.2010) and discussed with him various issues concerning the Clerical Cadre Staff of the Administration. The Association delegation
discussed with the Secretary (Perl) the long-pending issue of restructuring of Amalgamated Clerical Cadre in order to remove stagnation among the clerical staff. On the one hand, the Government of India does not consider the demand for higher pay for Lower Grade Clerks and Higher Grade Clerk and on the other, there is all-round stagnation among the clerical cadre staff
working under the A & N Administration. The delegation has also urged the Secretary (Perl) to extend financial upgradation under the ACP Scheme to all the left-out employees immediately. The Association leaders had also demanded regular meetings of the Anomaly Committee constituted by the A & N Administration so that all the pending issues related to Sixth CPC can be settled without any further delay. Secretary (Perl) assured the delegation of the Association that appropriate action will be taken on the demands raised by the Association.
