Meeting of SATB expresses concern over ad-hoc issue

A meeting of the South Andaman Teachers’ Branch of the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association was held on 09.01.2016 at Crusade House, Port Blair. The meeting discussed in detail various issues pertaining to the teachers working under Education Department, A & N Islands which include Regularization of Adhoc services, timely confirmation of services, timely award of ACP/MACP, problems in quarter allotment etc.,
            The members in the meeting expressed concern over the issue of undue delay in regularization of adhoc services of a couple of hundred teachers. The meeting resolved to take up the issue strongly with the Education department to avoid further discontentment among the teachers.
            The meeting also decided to hold its Annual General Body meeting in the month of February, 2016. Earlier, Shri S.L.Vinjit, Joint Secretary, South Andaman Teachers’ Branch welcomed the members and briefed about the activities of the branch during the intervening period. Shri T.S.Sreekumar, General Secretary informed the meeting about various developments at National Level and the programmes to be conducted by the Association demanding improvement in various recommendations of 7th CPC. Shri G.P.Mandal, Vice President of the branch presided over the meeting.
