Annual General body meeting of Billiground Branch

The Annual General Body Meeting of Billiground Branch of Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association was held at Billiground on 30.12.2012. Dr. Satyajit Halder, Medical Officer (Incharge), PHC Billiground inaugurated the meeting. In his inaugural address Dr. Halder lauded the efforts made by NGOs’ Association to settle local grievances along with various issues of govt. employees. Shri Mritunjay Biswas, Secretary of the branch presented the working report and Shri N.C.Das, Treasurer presented the finance report. The meeting adopted more than 40 resolutions which include immediate filling up of vacant posts of teachers in various schools of Billiground area, upgradation of facilities of PHC Billiground. The meeting also adopted a resolution against the enhcancement of working hours of teachers.

In his keynote address, T.S.Sreekumar, Asst. General Secretary recalled the struggles made by the Association for the settlement of various demands f govt. employees. He also called the govt. employees to keep unity and participate in the ongoing struggles for setllment of 15-point charter of demands of the Central Govt. employees.  

The meeting re-elected Shri S.Bawali, Mritunjay Biswas and N.C.Das as Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer respectively of the branch for the year 2013. Shri S.Bawali presided the meeting and Shri B.P.Roy proposed vote of thanks.
