The two day Evening Dharna by
the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association, A & N Islands has began at 4
p.m. today( 20.11.2012) at Tiranga Park, Port Blair. Inaugurating the Evening Dharna,
Shri Sadanand Rai, Vice President of the Association explained in detail the
15-point Charter of Demands in pursuance of which the Confederation of Central
Govt. Employees & Workers, New Delhi has unleashed a nation-wide campaign.
A large number of Govt. Employees
& Workers sat in the Evening Dharna. The Dharna will be held tomorrow also
from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The 15-point
Charter of Demands include (1) Setting up of 7th Central Pay Commission
(2)Merger of DA with Pay (3)Against New Pension Scheme (4) Against Price rise (5)
to remove restrictions on compassionate appointments (6) to remove ban on post
creation & recruitment etc.
Shri H.L.Prasad, Shri
G.P.Mondal addressed the gathering.The Evening Dharna was led by Shri
D.Ayyappan, General Secretary of the Association.
