General Body Meeting of the Education Department Group C Sub-Committee

            A General Body meeting of the Education Department Group ‘C’ Sub-Committee of the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association was held at Port Blair on 10th March, 2012.   Various problems and issues of former Group D employees (now Group C) working under the Education Department were discussed in the meeting.  The meeting expressed concern over the increasing harassment meted out to the former Group D staff working in various schools and offices of the Education Department.    Employees who attended the meeting   complained about the inhuman attitude   on the part of the authorities of the Education Department towards their problems.   A large number of former Group D employees (now Group C) of the Education Department working at Port Blair and South Andaman areas attended the meeting.  

          Shri D. Ayyappan, General Secretary and Shri TS Sreekumar, Assistant General Secretary of the Association and Shri V. Vellakannu addressed the meeting.  Shri Yesuratnam presided over the meeting.
