Officers’ Association was held at Port Blair
today (30th November, 2013).
Addressing the meeting as Chief Guest, Shri O.Yohannan, Retired
Assistant Secretary and former leader of the Association called upon the clerical cadre employees to
rally behind the Non-Gazetted Govt. Officers’ Association as it is the only

suffer a lot during such struggles and recalled the situation when he was put
in the Jail for 25 days for participating in the movement which was led by late
PKS Prasad.
Addressing the meeting, Shri D. Ayyappan,

out to the Lower Grade Clerks and Higher Grade Clerks by the central government
as the demands of the employees organizations for upgraded scales of pay of
these categories of employees were rejected by the Pay Commissions and
successive central governments. He also explained in detail how the central
government has rejected the demands of the employees’ organization to merge 50%
DA with Pay, to revise the wages of central government employees after every
five years, grant of interim relief, etc.
