Sir,

It has been reported to this Association that the 6^th CPC arrears have not been paid to the teaching and non-teaching staff working under the jurisdiction of the Deputy Education Officer, South Andaman. On inquiry, the Association has been informed by the officers concerned that owing to the non-availability of funds the arrears are not disbursed.

There is no justification for non-disbursement of the arrears to the teachers and non-teaching staff working under the Dy Education Officer, South Andaman when the arrears have already been paid to the employees working in other establishments of the Education Department from September, 2009 onwards.

Since the 6th CPC arrears are drawn from the salary Head of Account, non-availability of fund cannot be cited as a reason for the non-disbursement of the arrears.

I would, therefore, request you kindly to look into this matter and take immediate steps to disburse the 6^th CPC arrears to all the teaching and non-teaching staff working under the Dy Education Officer, South Andaman, as resentment among the teachers are growing on this issue.

Action taken in the matter may please be intimated to this Association.
